SHOWBIZ!
Hello Pallies! Howya doing? I’m happy to say I’m vaxxed three times now and jumping back to showbiz! What a long trip this has been! I’m so grateful to still be alive and to get back to entertaining you. Kids, JUST IN! A MURRAY LITTLE CHRISTMAS WILL BE BACK AT JOE’S PUB THIS DEC!!! Check out the show page for tickets! This summer I shot few episodes of Amy Schumer’s new Hulu Show “Life & Beth” and was a recurring character on Bridget Everett’s new HBO show “Somebody Somewhere.” I was fortunate enough to shoot an episode for Paul Feig and Jenny Bicks new showe “Welcome to Flatch” on FOX. It’s looking like all three shows will air beginning of next year! Check back for updates! As I’m getting back into the swing of things, I’ll be stopping in here way more and will post updates! Ok, that’s it for now! Stay safe, sane, and smiling. Keep your chin(s) up! xoMurray
Drag Kings Are Ready to Rule
The blurring of gender boundaries has allowed for more freedom in online pageants — and soon, it’s hoped, back in the clubs.
Hi! I’m so honored to be in the NY TIMES Sunday (Show) Business Section–in a full-page spread!
From Joan of Arc to Murray Hill, Drag Kings Have Redefined Queer Culture. RuPaul's Drag Race winner Sasha Velour gathered fellow artists to pay homage to kings past (and present!), in celebration of a legacy as personal as it is performative.
I had a blast with these fruitballs talking about LOVE and slinging some one liners. Note, this podcast was recorded at 10am! Showbiz.
HuffPost stopped by one of Murray’s gigs and talked to him afterwards about drag and all kinds of things. The interview shows other NYC performers too.
I had a great talk with Vogue editor Nicole Phelps about show guys like me—and going mainstream…is it time? Now is the time!
I’m in Condé Nast new magazine them (“a next-generation community platform” —whatever that means!).
Had a blast talking to Michelle Buteau!! She’s hilarious!! I’ve known her for a long time and I’m so pumped she’s crushing it on her new podcast for WNYC!!
MURRAY HILL is a paunchy, 50-year-old Borscht Belt comic from Brooklyn. He's got a terrible singing voice, a cheesy motto ("Show biz!") and an arsenal of jokes that went out with "Dirty Dancing"-style resorts.
