Not sure how that happened…so I’m excited to announce I’ll be performing at The House of Blues in Dita Von Teese’s new show for two nights July 19 & 20! It was a blast to introduce and get the crowd pumped for the GOSSIP show. I’ve had the pleasure of introducing them at Knitting Factory, Webster Hall, and now this mammoth venue! They are my favorite band…I love the music, of course, but the kids are just the funniest and coolest cats around and really have great audiences. Here is a photo with me and Beth Ditto backstage (moments after raiding the craft services table). If you haven’t already, pick up their new album and make sure you see ‘em live!

Wowzie! Sunday, April 25th at The Knitting Factory I was proud to produce and host MR. TRANSMAN, the first-ever FTM competition. I’m thrilled to announce the event was sold-out, a big success, and more importantly, a great event for the community. Congratulations to the new Mr. Transman 2010 KIT YAN and each and everyone one of the contestants who turned it out! Hey gang, I’m excited to announce this…I’ll be appearing as myself, playing myself, on HBO’s awesome new show Bored to Death written by Jonathan Ames. I’m very excited to pre-announce to my fans that I’m currently in development for an Off-Broadway show, tentatively titled “Murray Hill is Mr. Showbiz” with fabulous producers at The Work Room Productions. Pond Press proudly announces the publication of SHOW, noted photographer Henry Horenstein’s long‐anticipated look at modern burlesque. The photographs were made from 2003 to 2009, and serve as an homage to the neo‐burlesque resurgence of the last several years. Not only is Murray featured in the book, he had the honor of writing the introduction. The book is for sale at pondpress.com. Check back soon for info on book party April 8th. A film by William A. Anderson, Henry Horenstein, and Hillary Spera, called THE MURRAY HILL STORY, will be released later in 2010 by Swinging Door Films.
